A Friendly Visit

What's better than having a friend from way back in 4th grade come for a visit?
Having a friend from 4th grade come to visit, who has 4 year old twins, and lived to tell about it!
AND, having a friend from way back in 4th grade, with twins, who occupy MY almost 4 year old!
AND, having a friend come visit who makes dinner, does your laundry, gives your kids a swimming lesson, and babysits them while you go to the DMV.

Now THAT'S a great friend to come visit!

Thanks for making the trip Kacy, Laura, and Drew. We had a GREAT time!

Tour de Baseball

No secret that we all love baseball. So while we're still in Cleveland, we're trying to visit all the closest ballparks. Last weekend, we took a family trip to Pittsburgh to see PNC Park where the Pirates play. It just so happened that the Red Sox were in town. Hmmmm...coincidence? I think not.

PNC Park is a beautiful place to watch baseball. (We were pleasantly surprised!)

Will (aka Little Pedroia) crossing Clemente Bridge on his way to see the Sox and Pirates play...

Andrew doesn't have much endurance for watching a whole game of baseball yet. He was constantly asking when we were going back to the hotel. (Hey, it was a Doubletree, so they had free cookies!)
But then he figured out how to "keep score" just like Dad, and he was content.

Great family shot. Too bad the photographer forgot the rest of Andrew's body. :(

Ready for 1st Grade!

It's so hard to believe that Kindergarten has come and gone for Will. Seems like just yesterday he was starting K.

1st day of K
Last day of K

He had a great year. He loved his teacher, Miss Vail.
He enjoyed showing off his classroom and school. This was one night at an open house. They were learning about manners and Will's "manner" was "Do not have food fights".

He said this was something that his Uncle Phil needed to learn. :)

Our summer is off to a great start. My little organizer is keeping us on track with his lists:

And he has already gone to a baseball camp with our local high school and an all sports camp at a local college.

Will was so excited for summertime. But yesterday he told me that he was sad because he missed school. Hope he's that eager when August 24th rolls around!

24 Weeks

24 Weeks...
and a Minivan Mom!!

I'm thrilled for both occasions!

And I feel that I should give a big shout out to my trusty ole car that took me thru the last 11 years. It was a GREAT car, my first car I purchased in the "real world"; it just wasn't big enough anymore!

As for Matt, he is handling the transition to mini van pretty well. Not exactly his dream car, but he knows we'll enjoy it and he's happy that I'm happy!

Plus, we all know that...
