Through the years, Matt has had lots of "help" to get him where he is today.
Today Matt is in day 2 of his cardiology board exam. I think this will be the toughest test he's taken to date.
Fortunately, he's had another "helper" this week that will surely bring him good luck.

You can never be too clean...
We are down to one roll of toilet paper.
(See previous post if you're wondering how in the world that could ever happen.)
Until further notice (translation: until Matt comes home and I can go to the store alone), all business is to be conducted in the upstairs bathroom.
This afternoon I caught Andrew in the downstairs bathroom. I asked him what he was using to, you know, finish his business. He opened the door and said "This works!"
(now follow the path to the origin of the wipe....yep, he just disinfected)

World Traveler
Over the past 3 weeks, Matt has been traveling a lot! Today he comes home from Sweden where he had several days of meetings.
For the first time, I've really appreciated the world clock on my phone. It has helped me not call Matt at 2 AM to chat!
I'm thankful for modern technology and the geography lessons that have been taught thru his travels, but I'm ready for us all to be on the same continent!

Andrewisms
I think I could write a whole book of funny things that Andrew says. It's hard to remember all of them, but here are a few of his latest gems.
"I love everybody. Except robbers."
After explaining that there are elderly twin sisters that live together across the street, Andrew said, "So there are grown-up twins?"
Andrew to Pops: "Maybe I should shave my hair bald so I will look like you, Pops."
Andrew to me: "Even though you pick my boogers, I'll always take care of you."
Andrew begged me to play a game of baseball with him. I had so much that I needed to get done, but I played a quick game with him. When we were finished, I told him that it was a great game and now I needed to go inside and get some work done. He looked at me very seriously and said, "But we're playing a doubleheader!"
"This Lego is from the OLD TIMES!" (It was dated 1996)
"Two babies are a LOT of work."
"Mom, whenever you're angry, take a deeeeep breath."
(perhaps the last two comments were related??)

Day in the City
The kids AND Matt were off for Columbus Day. This was a rare treat so we decided to head into Boston for some fun. We let the boys ride bikes along the Charles River.
Then we let our little navigators show us the way around the city!
I have a new appreciation for Mrs. Mallard taking all her little duckies all over the city!
What a fun family day!!

Bible Babies
Today James and Catherine went to Bible class for the first time! They stayed the whole time with no tears. (Although I think Catherine conned one of the teachers into holding her.)
Matt and I enjoyed being able to listen to our Bible class the whole time uninterrupted!

Karah-Tay!
Andrew told me he wanted to go change into his karate uniform. And this is how he emerged.
Never a dull moment...

5 Year Check Up
Andrew had his 5 year check up. As always, he was cool, calm and collected.
That is, until we found out he had to get a shot.
Apparently, there was one shot missing from his Ohio shot record. Bummer.
But nothing that a little meet-up with Dad at Dunkin' Donuts couldn't cure.

We chose a pediatrician in the city (which seems a little nuts since we live in the 'burbs), but the beauty of it is that it is right across from Matt's office and he's able to come help me.
We walked down and met up with Matt in front of Harvard Medical School. Andrew said he'd like to go there one day and be a doctor. The kind like Daddy is.
Then he said, "Dad, will you still be here when I come to Harvard?"
You can only IMAGINE my reaction to that question!
(Andrew was 36.6 lbs and 40" tall.)
