Put Me In Coach!

It's baseball season! The boys are playing in a new league this year (because the timing of it worked better with our move), and it has been a fantastic experience so far!

The season started with an opening day parade complete with police escort, team banners, and candy.

 

Matt is helping out as much as his schedule will permit and the boys are loving having him on the field with them.

I hope to have lots more pictures soon. But it's a little difficult as I'm also trying to entertain the little batboy and batgirl!

Remembering...

One year ago, this world lost a wonderful man. We all miss "Granddad" very much.

The other day, Andrew ran in and said, "Mom, I can't wait to get to heaven so I can see everybody!"
I asked him who he wanted to see and he said, "First Jesus, then God, then Granddad and I'll give him a great big hug!"

We can't wait either...

A Decade Together!

Today we celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary!

We've been lucky enough to take a few trips sans kids lately (even if it was for househunting purposes), and our life is SOOOOO hectic right now, that we stayed in for the night, had a nice dinner with the kids, and then watched our wedding video...on the V-C-R!

It was so fun watching the video and the boys got a big kick out of it. Yes, we seem to have lost our Southern accents over the years and Will told me that my "voice was funny back then".

It was great seeing all the family and friends that helped make that day so special for us.

It's been a great 10 years--an absolute adventure!

Looking forward to the next 10+!

Important Issues for a 7 Year Old

8 Months Old

8 months old today!

  Catherine is a little roly poly and can sit up on her own.

And she is just about to start crawling! :0

James is content to lay around all day and smile.

  

He babbles all day long and he gets a big kick out of himself when he squeals really loud!

The babies are really becoming big buddies. They like to share and snatch toys.

And they are starting to have their own little conversations. It is too cute!

So hard to believe they are 8 months old already!

Busy Weekends = Fun Weekends

We have had some busy weekends around here! In April, Matt had a conference at a nice resort hotel and since he wouldn't want to be at the beach all alone, I felt it was my duty to accompany him. I met up with him and enjoyed this for a few days....

The next weekend, we went to Boston and we found a house!

It is so cute, in a great neighborhood, and a nice commute for Matt to work. We are set to move mid-June!

Last weekend, I had a "The Help" viewing party for several of my great neighbor friends. I was a little afraid to be the only Southern girl watching the movie with them :), but we ended up having a GREAT time. We had some good Southern treats like deviled eggs, pimiento cheese, and even some of Minnie's famous pie! ;)

The next day, we had a church potluck and our friends there surprised us with a farewell cake and some very sweet gifts. We have been so blessed to be taken care of my the wonderful people at our congregation and we are really going to miss them.

 Mrs. Barb has the touch for making Catherine go to sleep. It works every time.

2 Auburn fans and 2 Alabama fans. In Ohio. Who woulda thought?

 Bama, Barb, and our crew. I couldn't have made it through this last year without their help.
