Around here...

Time is flying. The babies are now 6 weeks old. I'm having a hard time keeping up and the past 2 weeks have mostly been documented with my phone camera.

We had a great visit from Lu, Katie, and Nash. My boys LOVED having Nash come play.

It's hard for our whole big family of six to go anywhere, so Matt and I try to take shifts with the kids. He took the older boys to Will's school Fall Festival. And I took them to the circus. The babies are content to stay home and sleep and eat!

Andrew has adjusted very well to being a big brother. He is NOT, however, being very thoughtful in the laundry department. Everyday, and I mean literally everyday, he comes home from school/church and immediately changes into his gameday uniform. Sometimes it's baseball, sometimes it's football. On this particular day, he ran in and yelled, "I'm ready for action!!"

James and Catherine are doing great. They haven't had a check up lately, but they are definitely growing. James is starting to grow out of preemie/newborn clothes and into 0-3 months clothes and size 1 diapers. Petite Catherine is just now filling out preemie and newborn clothes and diapers. And they are developing their own little personalities!

James smiled on Friday (10/21)

Catherine clearly does not like bonnets.Sweet babies all dressed up for church

I think they are going to be the best of pals.

Mom's Turn

The twins are 4 weeks old today and I've realized there's not a single picture of me holding both of them! It's not for lack of holding--just lack of getting in front of the camera!

So we had a little photo shoot to prove that I'm really here. :)

How A 6 Year Old Can Melt Your Heart...

Will: "Mom, I'm glad we have twins. You may not have been able to go outside for a while, but it was was worth it. "

Apple Pickin'

Fall has arrived in Ohio, and that means a trip to the apple farm. We took a family field trip during Matt's last week off. We came home with fun memories and a crazy amount of apples.

The babies joined in on the fun!

Matt and I enjoyed a "date" while we were there. (A date with 4 kids=5 quiet minutes in a swing overlooking the beautiful rolling hills of the apple orchard. We'll take what we can get!)
Anyone have any good apple recipes? I've got a lot of peeling and cooking to do in my spare time...
